Note About Communications: This course may include aspects that lead to lively discussions on controversial topics. The participants should be aware of two important TLC guidelines: no backbiting comments about individuals, no partisan political commentary, and no comments specifically about public figures, such as politicians, by name or position.
The practice of truthfulness is a personal and learning-in-action growth journey. How you interact with this virtue has private aspects to it. There will be discussions throughout this course, but we do not invite confession. If you share a personal story, it will be best to hide the identities of those involved. It’s also wise in your stories to practice humility rather than pointing to oneself as a good example.
This course contains quotations and other content from a variety of sources, including several religions. Some quotations are from the Bahá'í Faith, which you may be less familiar with. You can see information at www.bahai.org. For all the quotations and content, you will assess what seems true and accurate for you, what aligns with your beliefs or not, and what you want to take with you as inspiration. Where you have questions, it will be good to raise them for consultation with your facilitators and fellow learners.
